Rohit Sharma, the Mumbai Indians' skipper, who kept the hosts in the chase with a fluent fifty, had a heated conversation with the on-field umpire after he felt the umpire should have called the third ball of the final over bowled by Unadkat as a wide. Check out what Rahane, RPS' key batsman, had to say about
Toss
Mumbai have won the toss and will bowl first. Wicket looks dry and we have ben chasing well, says the skipper Rohit Sharma. One forced change for them. Krunal Pandya misses out due to an injury and Karn Sharma gets a game. Pune are unchanged, meanwhile. No du Plessis again!
Build-up
Mumbai Indians are sitting pretty at the top of the points table, having won six of their seven games this season. They started on a losing note but have phenomenally turned their campaign around and have 12 points at the moment. A couple of wins could be all it takes for them to seal the play-offs berth. Interestingly though, their only defeat came against RPS!
Pune, on the other hand, is a team on the high currently, having snapped their four-match losing streak with back to back wins. What would please them the most, however, is the fact that MS Dhoni is back amongst runs. Against holders SRH, when the team required nearly 50 off the final three overs, Dhoni turned the game around with a spectacular half-century knock. Nonetheless, coach Stephen Fleming is not taking things for granted.
Hello and welcome to our live blog for the 28th game of this season - between the hosts Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiant.
