A dominant 55-run win for Royals
Set up by that blistering 124 from Jos Buttler, RR were always in pole position to claim the two points but yesterday's events had us dreaming of a better fight. But SRH's chase just petered out after a 57-run PowerPlay. Once Pandey and Bairstow fell, the air was sucked out of SRH's chase. Kane Williamson struggled with the bat on his debut and some of his calls too will come into question - especially the one of bowling out Rashid before the 11th over.
Too many holes in the sinking SRH ship. As far as the Royals are concerned, this is a big boost, particularly in the NRR. Remember they are missing several big players themselves but are still hanging in there in that mid table fight.

Prelude - RR vs SRH
It's No.7 vs No.8 in the first game of double-header Sunday. And naturally there's pressure on the teams. Nothing exemplifies it more than Sunrisers Hyderabad axing their title-winning captain from 2016 and handing the post to Kane Williamson. The iceman KW now has to drag this underperforming team (1 win in 6) back up the table. Remember, SRH have made the playoffs in each of the last five seasons.
RR know a thing or two about SRH's predicament. They've swapped captains midway through the season. Sanju Samson hasn't had an easy start to the captaincy himself. Injuries, bubble fatigue has left them deprived off some big names. Those remaining will have to pull their weight together and a beleaguered SRH might be the best chance to grab that 2 points. Lots of drama in this one, and also it looks like Warner, arguably one of the best batsmen of this tournament, is going to be left out of the XI altogether!
Buckle yourself!
