Figures of 4/32, 3/55 and 4/69 in three consecutive matches of Vijay Hazare Trophy in February 2018 was one of the best months in Karthik Raman's career. Due to his match defining spells in the tournament, Andhra managed to topple teams like Mumbai and Gujarat in these Vijay Hazare Trophy fixtures. He made his first-class debut against Haryana in 2016 and proved to be a lucky charm for Andhra as they won that game convincingly. Karthik's contribution in that match was a handy one as he bagged three wickets overall and Andhra thumped Haryana by 77 runs eventually.

Karthik Raman has featured in more number of limited-over matches as compared to the longer versions and his bowling style is suitable for the shorter formats as he usually gets wickets when batsmen are trying to attack. With his variations, Koushik can topple batsmen and therefore tends to get wickets most of the times. Karthik's only 21 at present but with a few more games under his belt, he can prove to be game changer for Andhra in their upcoming games - be it in the Ranji Trophy or in the limited-over formats.
